Preview: Bayfront Charter Sharks vs. Scripps Ranch Falcons
The Bayfront Charter Sharks are on the road again on Monday and play against the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Bayfront Charter sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Madison. The team accrued 29 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch strolled past La Costa Canyon with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 70-51. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Scripps Ranch.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Scripps Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniela Sexenian, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Sexenian scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Kramer, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Bayfront Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Scripps Ranch, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.
