Football Recap: Crookston Comes Up Short

Crookston and Pelican Rapids squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Crookston had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 63-0 loss at the hands of the Vikings. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Crookston's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Pelican Rapids, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Crookston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pelican Rapids, they will take on Barnesville on Saturday. The Vikings will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.89 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
