After low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Southeast Bulloch brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They blew past the Islands Sharks 14-0 on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cade Harnage was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Southeast Bulloch is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-8 otherwise. Harnage was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Southeast Bulloch let Rhett Morgan and Kyle Ruarks run wild. Morgan scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Ruarks scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Morgan a new career-high in RBI (two). Kase Dye was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-5.

Southeast Bulloch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Southeast Bulloch pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Islands, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Sharks beat Southeast Bulloch by a score of 7-4 on Thursday.
