Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Allatoona

The Centennial Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Allatoona Buccaneers at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Centennial managed to slip by Duluth the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights lost 5-2 to the Wildcats on Tuesday. Centennial's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Allatoona kept a clean sheet against Ringgold on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 1-0. Given Allatoona's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Ringgold are ranked 191st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Allatoona and bumps their season record up to 13-4. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
