Football Recap: New Britain Piles Up the Points Against Enfield

New Britain barely beat Enfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Hurricanes claimed a resounding 50-15 victory over the Eagles. The Golden Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Jayden Allen produced another solid effort rushing for 290 yards and four scores while picking up 14.5 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Seymour, who threw for 131 yards and three TDs on only six passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: New Britain was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 443 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 209 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Despite the loss, Enfield still got an impressive performance from Sawyer Pequita, who rushed for 107 yards.

New Britain's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Enfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Britain will challenge Southington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Enfield, they will square off against Windsor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
