Football Recap: Mount Anthony Falls Short Against Ranked Burr & Burton

Mount Anthony faced Burr & Burton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots took a 17-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Jonathan Crossman threw for 173 yards and one touchdown. Logan Baker was his top target, picking up 53 receiving yards. On the ground, Asa Reis rushed for 70 yards.

Mount Anthony now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Burr & Burton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Anthony will venture away from home to face off against Rice Memorial at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Burr & Burton, they will face off against Essex at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
