Recap: Thompson vs. Hoover
On Friday, Thompson faced Hoover in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Thompson was able to grind out a solid win over Hoover on Friday, winning 35-21. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with three in a row now.
senior Sawyer Pate was the offensive standout of the contest for Thompson, as he passed for 239 yards and three TDs. Pate has been a guy to keep an eye on this season; he's played big for Thompson in each of their last 12 games. sophomore Ryan Peppins also helped out with an impressive 107 receiving yards in the victory.
Thompson will face off against Central in a playoff game in two weeks. These are two of the top teams in the nation (the Warriors are ranked 79th, Central 22nd), so it should shape up to be an exciting matchup. Hoover's playoff loss brings an end to their season.
