Soccer Game Preview: Banks County vs. Commerce

Banks County is 0-3 against Commerce since February of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Banks County Leopards will face off against the Commerce Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Banks County has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Banks County is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, falling 6-2. The game was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for the Leopards it sure didn't stay that way.

Tristan Guinn and Elijah Ariail scored both of Banks County's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Commerce beat Oglethorpe County 3-1 on Tuesday.

Commerce now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Banks County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Banks County came up short against Commerce in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Banks County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
