Softball Recap: South Winneshiek Comes Up Short

If South Winneshiek was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Riceville on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kee Kee Hawks on Wednesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Kee Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

South Winneshiek now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Kee, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: South Winneshiek beat the Kee Hawks by a score of 11-9 later that day.
