The Wyalusing Valley Rams will head out on the road to square off against the Williamson Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wyalusing Valley has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Williamson will arrive with four straight wins.
While Wyalusing Valley couldn't quite beat North Penn-Mansfield on Wednesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 22-point loss they were dealt back in December of 2023. Meanwhile, Williamson can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They put the hurt on Canton with a sharp 46-25 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Williamson has posted against Canton since February 6, 2017.
Williamson relied on the efforts of Taylor Rae Jones, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and four steals, and Kenna Thomas, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Olivia Meisner was another key contributor, scoring two points along with eight rebounds.
Wyalusing Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Williamson, their victory bumped their record up to 11-2.
