Hardaway had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by an 18-8 margin over the Manchester Blue Devils on Monday. The game was the first time the Hawks have beaten the Blue Devils on their field since August 30, 2021.

Hardaway got a massive performance out of Neeraja Thomas, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Thomas has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Huff, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

Hardaway always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Manchester only posted an OBP of .333.

Manchester is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hardaway will square off against Calvary Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Manchester, they will challenge Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
