Football Recap: Chaska's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

The Chaska Hawks didn't have too much trouble with the Century Panthers on Friday as they won 31-12. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota football rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Panthers are ranked 211th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chaska has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 28 points this season. As for Century, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Chaska will take on Hastings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Century, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Owatonna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
