Basketball Recap: Norco Takes a Loss

Norco was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Canyon Comanches and fell 46-8. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 971st, while the Comanches are ranked 243rd).

Norco got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Sinclair Smith and Aaliyah Taylor, who each put up three points. Mia Bautista held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

Norco's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Canyon, they now have a winning record of 14-13.

Norco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon, they have already played their next game, a 62-49 defeat against Crean Lutheran on the 4th.
