Baseball Game Preview: Midland Park Panthers vs. Becton Wildcats

The Midland Park Panthers will face off against the Becton Wildcats at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Midland Park has four straight victories, Becton has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

If Midland Park beats Becton with eight runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Panthers skirted past New Milford 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since May 1st.

Hackensack hit Becton with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats fell 11-6 to the Comets.

Becton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Midland Park, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
