Basketball Recap: Jayda Green and Marihya Portis Secure Win for Foothill

Foothill won the last time they faced West and things went their way on Friday too. The Foothill Trojans came out on top against the West Vikings by a score of 45-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

Foothill was led to victory by Marihya Portis and Jayda Green. Portis dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards, while Green dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 boards. Portis is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Garza, who posted ten points and four steals.

Foothill's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for West, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.
