Softball Recap: Sachse Comes Up Short

Sachse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Mesquite Skeeters.

Alexandra Valencia was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Neryeh Martinez, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Sachse's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Sachse will be playing at home against Emerson at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mesquite, they will head out to face off against Sanger at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
