Holy Family faced Windsor in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Tigers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Wizards a 4-0 shutout. The Tigers are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 11 straight.

Not much got past Emmaline Humphreys, who gave up just four hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Windsor off the board. Humphreys has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Holy Family saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Turney, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Holy Family's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Windsor, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 21-2.

Looking ahead, Holy Family will head out to face off against Broomfield at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Windsor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
