Soccer Game Preview: DeKalb vs. Neuqua Valley

The DeKalb Barbs will head out to square off against the Neuqua Valley Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Neuqua Valley heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when DeKalb took over last week. The Barbs narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Woodstock 2-1.

Meanwhile, Neuqua Valley beat Downers Grove South 3-1 on Thursday. That two goal margin sets a new team best for Neuqua Valley this season.

Alex Serra and Kalen Davis scored all three of Neuqua Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

DeKalb's record now sits at 6-7-1. As for Neuqua Valley, their record is now 3-6-3.

DeKalb came up short against Neuqua Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 3-1. Can the Barbs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
