Monterey entered their tilt with Wylie on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 77-72 W against the Bulldogs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Monterey's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Wylie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Monterey will head out on the road to face off against Canyon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wylie, they will be playing at home against San Angelo Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Bobcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
