Baseball Game Preview: Bainbridge Bearcats vs. Peach County Trojans

The Bainbridge Bearcats will face off against the Peach County Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bainbridge's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They came out on top against Dougherty by a score of 5-0.

Meanwhile, Peach County entered their tilt with Monroe on Friday with nine consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Golden Tornadoes with a sharp 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

DJ Hudson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Peach County got a big performance out of Matthew Cannon, who scored three runs and stole Four bases. The dominant performance gave Cannon a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Scout Willingham, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Peach County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Monroe only posted a batting average of .067.

Peach County pushed their record up to 15-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bainbridge, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8-1.
