Basketball Recap: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Richland Rams

In what's become a running theme this season, the Forest Hills Rangers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 52-31 margin over Richland. The victory was nothing new for Forest Hills as they're now sitting on six straight.

Forest Hills was led to victory by Anna Burkey and Alexis Henderson. Burkey scored 16 points, while Henderson scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Burkey has scored all season. Arissa Britt was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Richland lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lanie Marshall. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. Marshall hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Trinity Macey, who scored nine points.

Forest Hills pushed their record up to 14-3 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 23 points. As for Richland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-10.

Forest Hills will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellwood-Antis will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 196th, while the Rangers are ranked 37th). As for Richland, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Bison at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Clearfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Monday.
