Softball Recap: Nebraska City Victorious

Nebraska City won the last time they faced Omaha Central and things went their way on Thursday too. The Pioneers came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 11-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

Payton Harrah and Reesyn Becker did most of the damage at the plate: Harrah went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Becker went 2-for-3 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two runs gave Harrah a new career-high. Lily Madison was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Nebraska City's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Omaha Central, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Nebraska City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-3 defeat against Gross Catholic on the 29th. As for Omaha Central, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-0 victory against Omaha South on the 29th.
