Baseball Recap: Warsaw Comes Up Short

Warsaw was the 4-1 winner over Fairfield when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell 7-4 to the Falcons on Saturday.

Quinton Brock was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Logan Kim, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Warsaw's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Fairfield, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-12.

Coming up, Warsaw will host Concord at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minutemen have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Fairfield, they are taking a road trip to take on South Bend Riley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.95 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
