Recap: Manteca Buffaloes vs. Lincoln Trojans
It was a good run, but the Manteca Buffaloes unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were dealt a 60-30 loss at the hands of Lincoln. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Manteca has scored all season.
Manteca lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Izabella Sanchez, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brea Vieira, who scored 11 points.
Manteca's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Lincoln, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Manteca will head out on the road to face off against Riverbank at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Riverbank will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 284th, while Manteca is ranked 124th). Lincoln will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Clovis at 3:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
