Soccer Game Preview: Wapello vs. Highland

The Wapello Indians will take on the Highland Huskies at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wapello's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Wapello's offense. They came up short against Hillcrest Academy on Friday, falling 9-0.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Highland didn't have enough. They lost 8-1 to Mediapolis on Friday. Highland haven't had much luck with Mediapolis recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Highland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9-1. As for Wapello, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Wapello suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Highland in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
