Basketball Game Preview: Oak Hills Bulldogs vs. Rosary Academy Royals

Oak Hills is 0-4 against Rosary Academy since November of 2016 but things could change on Saturday. The Oak Hills Bulldogs will challenge the Rosary Academy Royals at 7:00 p.m. Oak Hills will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Oak Hills is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Chino 41-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since November 30, 2023.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rosary Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Notre Dame Academy 87-48. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Oak Hills pushed their record up to 18-11 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points over those games. As for Rosary Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-13.

Oak Hills was dealt a bruising 72-44 defeat at the hands of Rosary Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Oak Hills avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
