Basketball Recap: Seniaah Simms' Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Diego over Mountain View

San Diego's tournament run continued when they took on Mountain View on Thursday. The Cavers came up short against the Toros, falling 58-33. The Cavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Diego's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Seniaah Simms, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. Simms is becoming a predictor of the Cavers' success: when she posts at least ten rebounds the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Shanti Glenn, who posted nine points and three steals.

San Diego's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Mountain View, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, San Diego and Westview will face off at 4:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. As for Mountain View, they will face off against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
