Softball Recap: Mountain Range Takes a Loss

Mountain Range was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Thompson Valley Eagles.

Shawn Lee stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Makayla Gilbert was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Mountain Range's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Thompson Valley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Mountain Range didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-11 defeat against Longmont on the 22nd. As for Thompson Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-0 loss against Dakota Ridge on the 22nd.
