Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ricky Weeks and Diego Galvan Lead Riverdale Ridge to Victory

Riverdale Ridge never let their opponents score on Thursday. They didn't even let the Silver Creek Raptors on the board, marking the Ravens' second-straight 49-0 shutout. The Ravens might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 41 points or more this season.

Leading Riverdale Ridge to victory were Diego Galvan and Ricky Weeks. Galvan rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while Weeks threw for 131 yards and three TDs. Dean Presswood helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Riverdale Ridge was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 254 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Riverdale Ridge's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Jacob Barkto was the leader with two. Barkto is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Riverdale Ridge pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Silver Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
