After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against North Platte, Grand Island was happy to have turned things around  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lincoln High Links as they made off with  a  14-0 victory. That looming  14-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Islanders yet this  season.
 Karstyn Zuelow was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Avery Hawke, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Grand Island  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .640. They are 3-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
With the  win, Grand Island broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-17. As for Lincoln High, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record  this season.
 Grand Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln High, they will face off against Omaha North at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.96  runs per game on average), something the Links will no doubt try to take advantage of.
