After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln, Center was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They snuck past the Wheatland Pirates with a 49-45 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 47-25 back in January.

Reniaya Applin was a one-woman wrecking crew for Center as she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Wallace, who posted seven points.

Despite the loss, Wheatland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reagan Clancy dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards set a new season-high mark for Clancy. The team also got some help courtesy of Julisa Lopez, who earned 12 points and five rebounds.

Center's record now sits at 5-18. As for Wheatland, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Center wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-31 defeat against Bear River on the 31st. As for Wheatland, they have also already played their next match, a 70-12 loss against Colfax on the 31st.
