Soccer Recap: Newport Harbor Comes Up Short

Newport Harbor and Canyon squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Newport Harbor had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Canyon Comanches by a score of 1-0. The Sailors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Comanches earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Newport Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Canyon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 15-2 record this season.

Newport Harbor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon, they will head out to square off against Mater Dei at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
