Softball Game Preview: Cedartown Bulldogs vs. Cartersville Hurricanes

Cedartown hasn't had much luck against Cartersville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. Cedartown will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.

On Thursday, Cedartown beat Dalton 10-5. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Catamounts: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Cartersville entered their matchup against Harrison on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Hurricanes fell just short of the Hoyas by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hurricanes have suffered since August 28th.

Lakiaya Banks made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Kinsey Woodard was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Cedartown's victory bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Cartersville, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-3.
