Recap: Rosemont Wolverine vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks
After flying high against the Galt Warriors last Tuesday, the Rosemont Wolverine came back down to earth. Rosemont was outmatched by Liberty Ranch on the road and fell 73-43. While losing is never fun, Rosemont can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 886th, while Liberty Ranch is ranked 302nd).
Haley Smith continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Liberty Ranch, scoring 29 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Duryee, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Rosemont's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Liberty Ranch, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5.
Rosemont will head out on the road to challenge El Dorado at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Dorado will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Liberty Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Union Mine at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Union Mine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
