Softball Recap: Chamblee Has No Trouble Against Tri-Cities

Chamblee got themselves on the board against Tri-Cities on Tuesday, but Tri-Cities never followed suit. They blew past Tri-Cities 15-0. The result was nothing new for Chamblee, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Callie Delfavero was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two triples, and three runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Avery D'Auria was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Chamblee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Tri-Cities only posted an OBP of .250.

The win made it two in a row for Chamblee and bumps their season record up to 7-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Tri-Cities, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

The future could be bright for both Chamblee and Tri-Cities: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Bulldogs will look to extend Shiloh's six-game losing streak when they meet at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tri-Cities will try to hand Lakeside their fifth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
