Desert Christian and Arizona Lutheran Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Desert Christian had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coyotes. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Desert Christian actually scored more points across those four sets (85-80), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 5-25, 25-22.

Alexa Yarger paced Desert Christian's offense, picking up ten kills. Yarger got some help from Abby Numer and her 15 assists. Hannah Serrano controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Arizona Lutheran Academy was led to victory by Sarah Ortiz and Ella Peltzer. Ortiz had seven digs and two aces, while Peltzer had five kills. That's the most digs Ortiz has posted over her last six matchups.

Desert Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-22.

Desert Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, they will square off against Scottsdale Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
