Calvary Baptist posted their biggest win yet this season on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 42-9 victory over The Grove School. Calvary Baptist pushed the score to 39-4 by the end of the third, a deficit The Grove School cut but never quite recovered from.
Calvary Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gia Salazar led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 rebounds and ten steals. Salazar is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kaylin Crewse, who scored eight points along with nine steals.
The Grove School's defeat was their 14th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Calvary Baptist, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
The Grove School was dealt a bruising 42-9 defeat at the hands of Calvary Baptist when the teams last played on Tuesday. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point The Grove School was down 29-2.
