Los Alamitos had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Huntington Beach Oilers by a score of 56-46. Given the Griffins' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Oilers are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Los Alamitos has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Huntington Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Los Alamitos and Huntington Beach will both be playing Edison the next time they take the court. Huntington Beach will head out to face Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Los Alamitos will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
