Softball Recap: Dublin Comes Up Short

Treutlen hit Dublin with a five-run seventh inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Fighting Irish lost 16-5 to the Vikings. The Fighting Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Dublin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Treutlen, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, Dublin will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Jefferson County at 5:30 p.m. As for Treutlen, they will venture away from home to square off against Tattnall County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
