Baseball Game Preview: Liberty County Panthers vs. Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets

For the second straight game, Liberty County will face off against Southeast Bulloch. The Panthers will host the Yellow Jackets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Liberty County fell victim to Southeast Bulloch and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Yellow Jackets, falling 7-0. The Panthers have struggled against the Yellow Jackets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

For Southeast Bulloch's part, Cade Harnage made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. Harnage also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Southeast Bulloch is 7-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Harnage was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Southeast Bulloch let Ryan Cammack and Rhett Morgan run wild. Cammack went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Morgan scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most RBI Cammack has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Kase Dye, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Southeast Bulloch is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Liberty County's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Panthers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.1 stolen bases per game.
