Basketball Game Preview: Minarets Mustangs vs. Woodlake Tigers

The Minarets Mustangs will square off against the Woodlake Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Minarets is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Minarets came up short against Yosemite on Monday, falling 47-26.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Woodlake, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 50-27 margin over Riverdale on Tuesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Woodlake found their leader in sophomore Gracelyn Castillo, who dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten steals. With that strong performance, Castillo is now averaging an impressive 2.1 blocks per game. Another player making a difference was Alice Ortega, who posted nine points and six blocks.

Minarets now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Woodlake, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
