Basketball Recap: Windber Ramblers vs. Shade Panthers
The Windber Ramblers entered their tilt with the Shade Panthers with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. Windber claimed a resounding 55-10 victory over the Panthers on the road. That looming 55-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Windber yet this season.
Windber found their leader in underclassman Kaylie Gaye, who scored 13 points along with seven steals. Gaye is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Andrews, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Windber is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Shade, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Windber will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Berlin Brothersvalley is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Shade, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
