Basketball Recap: San Leandro Takes a Loss

San Leandro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 63-22 loss at the hands of the Alameda Hornets. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-12.

San Leandro's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Alameda, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

San Leandro and Alameda could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. San Leandro (ranked 537th) will meet Piedmont (ranked 44th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Alameda will challenge Pinewood at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday down 137 places (146 vs. 9).
