Basketball Recap: Del Oro Piles Up the Points Against Granite Bay

Del Oro won the last time they faced Granite Bay and things went their way on Friday too. The Del Oro Golden Eagles took their game with ease, bagging a 50-22 victory over the Granite Bay Grizzlies. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 25 points or more this season.

Granite Bay lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alli Powell, who posted six points in addition to ten rebounds and three blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kati Powell, who had 12 points and six boards.

Del Oro has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.1 points over those games. As for Granite Bay, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 15 of their last 18 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-19 record this season.

Looking ahead, Del Oro will challenge West Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Oro is facing West Park at the right time seeing as West Park is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Granite Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
