St. Francis entered their tilt with King City on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 54-39 win over the King City Mustangs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 61-35 on January 6th.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amity Hearne, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 21 boards. Hearne is becoming a predictor of King City's success: when she posts at least eight rebounds the team is 3-1 (and 3-11 when she doesn't). Crystal Paramo was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to six boards and six steals.

St. Francis is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for King City, they moved to 6-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

St. Francis will square off against Palma at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palma is on a eight-game streak of home wins, St. Francis a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. As for King City, they will host Pacific Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
