Basketball Recap: Temple City Comes Up Short

Temple City and Schurr squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Temple City had to settle for second. They fell to the Schurr Spartans 43-38. The Rams' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Temple City lost, don't look at Kristi Huynh. Despite the final result, she went 5-for-7 on her way to 17 points and five steals. The contest was Huynh's fourth in a row with at least 15 points.

Temple City now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Schurr, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-12 record this season.

Temple City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Schurr, they will challenge Laguna Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
