Baseball Recap: Dacula Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dacula can now relate to. They fell just short of the East Coweta Indians by a score of 9-7 on Wednesday. The Falcons' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Dacula got a good showing from Samuel Zaa, who struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. That's the fewest earned runs Zaa has allowed since back in March.

At the plate, Mj Allen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Donovan Quary, Jr. ?DJ? was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Dacula's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for East Coweta, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-5.

While Dacula had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
