Scotland County hadn't done well against Canton recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Scotland County had just enough and edged out Canton 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Scotland County.

Makenna Musgrove spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Scotland County's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Frederick, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
