Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson). They walked away with a 65-55 victory over the St. Andrew's Lions on Saturday. This was payback for the Atomsmashers, who suffered a 49-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Leading Johnson to victory were Quentin James and Maurice Knight Jr.. James shot 44% from the field to rack up 25 points and five assists, while Knight Jr. went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points. Those 25 points gave James a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vatoris Yancey, who posted five points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Johnson was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Johnson's record is now 4-6. As for St. Andrew's, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Johnson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-54 win against Southeast Bulloch on the 16th. St. Andrew's and Mount Paran Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
