Basketball Recap: Lititz Christian Eagles vs. Dayspring Christian Academy Warriors
The Lititz Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 52-32 defeat at the hands of Dayspring Christian Academy. Lititz Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Lititz Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Afton Urquhart, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Angela Scanlan, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Lititz Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lititz Christian will take on the at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. York Country Day is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against the at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
